Madyson is 2!

My little miss turned 2 on December 2 and I can't believe it. She is getting so big and with that comes even more attitude and huge fits. She thinks she is above everyone and she has become quite the diva. She is also so sweet at times and lovable to everyone. She got to open her presents from my mom and then she was going to get to open more at her party that was on December 13th. She got a baby doll, my Little pony, a special baby blanket that matches her bedding, and some shirts and a jumper made by my mom. I will be posting other photos from Jayden and Madyson's combined birthday party too. She had a great day even though she still has no idea it was her birthday or even what that means. But regardless we had fun going to McDonald's and having cake with our now big girl.

Finally!

Sorry about the lack of posting I have been trying to remember to get it done and just haven't found the time or energy to sit done and update everything. So I thought I had put up this collage of the kids but apparently forgot. So just some updates on the kids Jayden is crazier than ever, he definitely has some kind of hyper activity problem and it is getting worse by the day. He is off his rocker most of the time but we still love him (most of the time) and at times find him quite funny. Madyson has learned to count and can say a lot more words now and can also sing along to mickey mouse clubhouse, Diego, Dora and the backyardigans. She loves to help out with cleaning and with whatever baby Payton needs. She has also learned to throw huge tantrums and to defend herself against Jayden who is constantly beating the crap out of her. And my Payton boy is just the sweetest thing. He is so calm, happy and just mellow. I don't know what happened to my other children but he is exact opposite he just hangs and and is not high maintenance at all. We all love him so much and are excited watching him grow to be so big.

Disney On Ice

I got to take Jayden to go see Disney on Ice with my sister, Landon, my friends Erin & Ranae and their two little boys, Treyson and Bryant. We had a blast and got to sit pretty close to see all the action. As we walked in it had already started and the boys were hooked, mouths dropped and eyes open so big in awe of what was going on. I loved spending that one on one time with Jayden he can be good some times. He loved when Mickey came out and that was his favorite besides Cinderella and Ariel and Nemo. It was a really great show and I would definitely recommend it if you can ever take your kids. It was magical!!

Happy Halloween

We had a fun Halloween, Jayden was Mickey Mouse (thank you mom), Madyson was Tinkerbell and Payton was a Dragon. We walked around the mall and went trick or treating and after that had a chili cook off that turned into a ward trunk or treat. They kids loved getting all the candy but Madyson was trying to eat it as we went along. We were pooped after everything was said and done.

Scarecrow Festival

Okay it has been a while since we went to this but I just haven't gotten around to it, I have been taking the kids to the park like daily while it is still warm. We went with my sister Bre and her son Landon to the scarecrow festival in Lehi at Thanksgiving Pointe. The kids had a blast they had so much for them to do there. They rode ponies, went on a hayride, played little games and had a snow cone to name a few. Jayden wasn't so sure about the horses but Madyson loved it. Payton just laid in stroller and enjoyed being outside.

Madyson

Four months

Payton just turned four months old and we went in for his well child check up. I have been waiting for this one because this is when Jayden started getting huge and hasn't stopped, so I wanted to see if Payton was on the same track and I think he is. His stats were 14 pounds 3 ounces and 26 1/2 inches. Jayden was 14 pounds 13 ounces and 25 1/2 inches, so my boys are just meant to be big while little miss Madyson is just a peanut. He is doing well and is on track with everything he should be doing, and we are just grateful he is sleeping through the night!

Fall or Winter?

We woke up on Saturday morning to this lovely sight, a butt load of snow at the start of fall!! It snowed all day and a little more on Sunday. I can't believe what I have seen in Utah the weather is so crazy and unpredictable. Also this moon was huge over the mountains even though it doesn't look very big, it was so pretty.

New found love

I have started making hair bows (Felt, corkers, crocheted, simple ribbon). I love them the color possibilities are endless. I have gone a little overboard but they aren't all for just my ONE little girl. My mom actually crocheted them for me but the others I made. If you love them you should come and make some with me. Take a look at what I have been doing. Note I didn't include the corkers or the simple ribbon ones, they were already put away.

Flower Boy

Jayden found Madyson's clips and thought he needed to wear ALL of them. He is still wearing them and it has been like an hour. He really wants to be a girl. Is he pretty or what

I had to put up these pictures of the boys, they look exactly alike to me, it is so crazy. Jayden is the clothed baby and Payton is the naked one. Aren't they cute though. Those smiles are identical. I love them so thought I would share.

A look back

I decided to take a look back and see if my kids look alike at the same stages in life. So I put together a collage of them as newborns, at about 2-3 months and then with me at their blessings.

The first row all the way to the left are all Jayden, the middle are all Madyson and the right side are all Payton. do you think they look alike?

Madyson and the potty

So every time my mom has come to visit she usually asks Madyson if she wants to potty, and takes her. She has gotten her to poop and pee randomly, but while she was here for the blessing she took her a couple times in the evening before bed one night and she went pee all three times. She gets so excited and has a huge smile on her face and claps for herself. So I have been taking her when she wakes up in the morning, before nap, after nap, before bed and any time I take Jayden. She goes almost every single time. She runs into the bathroom when you ask her if she wants to go potty and loves to flush the toilet. I am not really trying to potty train her since Jayden still doesn't poop on the potty, so maybe she will just pick it up since this is working well right now. She is such a big girl, I couldn't imagine her little tiny bum in big girl panties, they would probably fall right off of her.

Payton's Blessing

We blessed Payton this last weekend on the 7th, so my parents came to town and Breanna and Landon came and stayed at the house with us. My mom made his blessing outfit and it turned out so cute. I love it. He did really during the blessing and it went great. After the blessing we had family and a couple friends over for a late lunch early dinner, and the food was really good. We had enchiladas (white and red sauce), spinach dip bread bowl, grapes, cake, chips, salsa and candy.

6 Weeks

I had to take Payton in at 6 weeks because he was spitting up a ton. So they weighed him in at 8 pounds 12 ounces. I can't believe he gained 2 pounds in 3 weeks. They put him on a different formula to try to limit his spitting up. It seems to have worked so far but they also think he might have reflux. So in a week we will update the doctor and see if he needs medication for it. Overall he has been doing good, he is a really good baby and sleeps for 4-5 hours in the night. I also have made some birth announcements to send out and this is what they are going to look like:

My baby girl is getting so big!!

Madyson is getting so big, I can't even believe it. I guess when you bring a new baby in the house every one seems so big compared. But she is starting to pick up some more words, ball, momma(finally), bird, jadey(jayden), grandma, bubbles and some others. She also has started to run, which I think is funny and so cute. I got her this dress in the pictures from old navy and loved it, she had the perfect red shoes to go with it, so it was perfect for church! Then the other pictures were just for fun, I finally got all her hair in a ponytail. She is just my smiley girl!

Being a Boy

Just thought I would throw in a little collage of Jayden. He got a basketball hoop when the baby was born and daddy had to put a sweat band on him to make it real. He went swimming at a friends house and then decided to test out the babies bouncer and feel asleep in it in his closet. So he hasn't really be doing that much so we don't have a lot of pictures of him. He spend a lot of time in time-out because he learned to hit, push and lay on top of Madyson. Gotta love the 2 year olds!!

Madyson is so fascinated with her baby brother. She wants to hold him all the time or TRY to push him around in her baby stroller(which we do not let her do). So one night James was holding her in our bed so I laid him down with them. She threw a fit when I took him away from her. But I had to take some pictures because it was so cute.

Payton at 3 weeks

I thought I would do a little update since we went in for Payton's check up , pku, and circumcision today. I felt bad for him but it needs to be done. He weighs 6 pounds 13 ounces now and is 20 1/2 inches long. He is growing quite well so it shouldn't be too long until he passes his sister in height and weight. He is still sleeping quite well, he will go 5 to 6 hours between feedings sometimes and sometimes only 3 hours between but he lets me nap during the day and is starting to stay awake for like an hour to 2 hours, which helps him sleep during the night. The kids are still adjusting but overall don't really know he is around unless they go into our room and see him. They are pretty nice with him. Madyson I have to look out for because she wants to stick his paci in his mouth when he doesn't want it and rock his car seat out of control, and push his belly. She wants to help it is just too much right now. But other than being on my own with three kids and trying to adjust not much else has happened. Hopefully I will go and get the kids pictures taken soon. I never got 1 and 2 year pictures for the other kids and they are 5 months overdue. Maybe that will be my next post!! Lets Hope

Bringing home baby

We got to bring Payton home on July 3rd, it was very exciting for us. He spent about a week in the NICU because of breathing problems, then we found out he was cooms positive (my blood attacked his) which gave him a bad case of jaundice and then he needed to learn how to eat. We are so glad he is home and the kids love to look at him and want to hold him all the time. He is a really good baby he sleeps a ton and only stirs when he is hungry or poopy, so I can't really complain.

Payton James Shannon

Payton joined our family at 7:47 on June 26th, he is 6 pounds and 19 inches long. I pushed 6 times (3 times with each contraction) and after 3 minutes he was out. He has got a lot of blonde hair. He was taken to the NICU because of under developed lungs. Hopefully he won't be in there too long. I have only seen him a little and haven't really gotten to hold him, but once we get more pictures and I have some more time I will post more about the little guy.

Experimenting with floating on his back, he did pretty well I thought. He hasn't had any practice with floaties before, we just put them on and dropped him in the pool
He started to actually put his face in and blow bubbles and try to kick his legs and paddle with his arms, I was very impressed.

I took the kids swimming today and got some pictures finally of them in the water. Madyson likes it at first but after 20 minutes or so she is done and wants out. But she floats around the pool in her baby float. She gets from one end of the pool to the next.
