Madyson's 1st Birthday

Madyson turned 1 December 2 and had a great party. She was a little hesitant about digging into the cake, but she finally got into it a little

All about Jayden

Now for Jayden, he was born January 5, 2006, 5 weeks premature weighing in at 5 lbs 6 oz and just 18 1/2 inches long. He came out bald and beautiful. He has since became a big boy. He is almost 2 now and weighs in at 30 pounds and 36 inches tall. He is full of energy and keeps me busy during the day. He loves to jump and is slowly developing a vocabulary. He loved his little sister when she first came but now that she can crawl to the toys he isn't so fond of her anymore. Although he does help out a lot with her, he gets me food bottles paci's and blanket for her. He loves to play at the park and even more than that loves to eat. He talked about it all day and never gets full. He has helped me with my patience and has kept me wondering if I am getting what my parents got with me?. He loves any baby he sees and will be great with his new brother or sister. (Let's hope for a brother) Here are some pictures through his 2 years

All about Madyson

Well I figured I should do a little recap on my kids and what has been going on in their lives from the start. So here we go.... Madyson was born December 2, 2006, 4 weeks premature at 5 lbs 13 oz and 18 1/2 inches long. She came into this world stubborn and nothing has changed nor do I think it will. She has been a little late on everything in her life, she sat up at 91/2 months crawled at 11 1/2 months and has started pulling herself up at 1 year old. She is still my little peanut she weighed 17 1/2 pounds at her 1 year check up (6th percentile) and was around 29 inches long (somewhere around 50th percentile). She gets knocked around by her big brother and puts up with it pretty well, she is a smiley baby and loves to be looked at by anyone. She was a little bit of a surprise to us when she came out with brown hair and her little attitude. She was so completely different from her bald blonde haired calm brother. Everyday with her is an adventure and she keeps me laughing.

Thanksgiving

I love to make the kids match as much as possible so for thanksgiving it was all about wearing brown. I love to make them sit together to pose but they hate it and apparently think it is boring

Bath Time

Bath time is a great time in the shannon house. Between Jaden trying to jump in with all his clothes on and dumping buckets of water on Madyson's head it is more of a chore for me than fun. But the kids love it, they get to splash, fight for toys, and dodge me trying to wash their bodies. Jayden also likes to help me wash Madyson's hair. I really do love bath time becuase I can't resist the naked baby bums and I know that I can leave them in the tub for 30 to 45 minutes and they will be happy.

Fall is here

So I love to take pictures so I am never lacking in the new pictures to post I have just been waiting for time and energy so I guess a sunday night at 11 is the best time. I took some really cute pictures of the kids outside because I wasn't so thrilled with Madyson's fall pictures I had professionally done so I tried myself. But just some fun ones of her and the two of my kids.

Halloween

This was Jayden and Madyson's first Halloween dressing up and actually going out to trick or treat. We had a hard time trying to get Jayden to say trick or treat, we even practiced a week before hand. Occasionally he would just say treat, but he was more concerned with trying to grap the candy out of the givers hands and placing it in his bag. So we took Jayden our Giraffe and Madyson our Bumble bee to the mall to collect candy and then just took Jayden around our block later that evening to collect more so mom could have a good selection of candy. Unfortunalety for me he kept picking the dum dum suckers which we were also passing out. Overall I think the kids had fun and loved eating the candy afterwards.
