Black Island Farms

Madyson's preschool had it's first field trip.  We went to the pumpkin patch and got to take a wagon ride and pick pumpkins, carrots, onions and even a cabbage.  The kids had a blast (even though it was 85 degrees and so hot) and got to do a lot of stuff.  They rode the cow train, played in the corn box, jumped in the pumpkin blow up house, went down the slides, saw pig races and baby cows, and swung on swings that looks like horses made out of tires.  We were a little sad Jayden couldn't come because he was at school but we went with grandma a couple days later that he got to enjoy (pictures later).

Madyson's smile lately has been struggling, this is decent compared to the others I took!

We had a blast going to the pumpkin patch with her class and her friends.

Mexico?!

Yes I did go to Mexico, it was only like 3 months ago.  Well my laptop broke and I couldn't ever get my pictures off of it until just a couple weeks ago.  So I am now blogging about my FANTASTIC child free trip to Playa Del Carmen.  It was truly amazing and I have the best parents in the world for taking all of us.  We spent an entire week just laying around the beach, enjoying the sun and exploring!  We got to go to Chitchen Itza, Ex Balam, and to Xel-Ha!  All incredibly beautiful.  The Mayan ruins were awesome, we got to swim in a sink hole (Cenote) and that was my favorite part.  It was so beautiful I loved it.  Xel-Ha was an all inclusive thing and it was like a lagoon, inlet thing.  We started off by floating down the lazy river and then part way down we got to cliff jump 15 feet which was so cool and then we floated more and did the tight rope walk, which James and I were the only ones to cross!  Then we got to eat, lay in hammocks, watch dolphins, snorkel, lounge, look at lizards and iguanas, swim into a cave, go see the light house.  It was a pretty cool place to spend the day.  Then on the other days we played at the beach, ate all the time and went into town a couple times and even experienced a Walmart in Mexico (I don't recommend it)!  Here are a lot of pictures:

Xel-Ha, I had a "virgin" daiquiri that turned out to be not so virgin, that explains the look on my face, I had to lay down for about an hour. 

 Xel-Ha again, I did the rope swing, the corner picture is the cliff we jumped off of at the beginning (no one had there cameras, but we all did it!), James and I out by the ocean and light house, and one of the lagoons, we walked by.

We watched the circus and saw some seriously strong men, we also sang karaoke one night (Tracy, myself and Bre sand wannabe), Moose came along to Mexico too and was good boy, it was Tracy's birthday while we were there so at dinner that night they brought her a dessert and sang to her.  There was a bunch of pretty flowers all over too.

James went snorkling (it made me sick), we went swimming and my mom and I jumped of the cliff in the sink hole at Ex Balam (20 feet).  The water was so amazing.

Chitchen Itza with an LDS tour guide was pretty cool.  It was so HOT though I wanted to die.  Amazing the things people did back then.

 View form the top of the pyramid at Ex Balam, it was like 110 steps or something like that, James and I made it to the top (mom and bre were freaking out and had to slide down on their butts), and the view was spectacular.

On one of the days we didn't have anything planned we (James, myself, dad and Chad) all went snorkeling just at the hotel.  We had seen sting rays on another day really close to shore, so we got out a ways and it starting getting really chopping and started pouring.  James was the only one with a life jacket on and was taking his sweet time so I abandoned him and swan as fast as I could for the shore since I knew my camera was out on the chair:(  So we stood in the rain and took some fun pictures. Summer catch up

I can't believe the summer is gone.  We did a lot this summer and had fun almost everyday.  We swam a lot or rather ran through water a lot.  It was such a good summer this year and we can't wait until next!

I tried to take pictures of my kids.  As you can tell it didn't go so well, no one wanted to cooperate.  I had a friend do them after this (I will post later with those)

Payton fell asleep in the highchair at grandmas before the party and then the kids all got party hats and cupcakes to start off Hooch's party.

 Hooch had a birthday (he turned 3) and we got to be there for it.  The kids all got to miniature golf and hang out with family.

Random picture, Payton is hilarious he loves to wear Madyson's dress up shoes and crown and her umbrella.  Jayden got stuck in the banister, I couldn't find Madyson one night and was freaking out thinking she had managed to get out of the house and was lost until I looked under her bed (click on the collage to see bigger pictures).  We got a trampoline for the kids (25 bucks!) and Jayden loves daddy to bounce him high on it.  And the other picture is the sleeping arrangement at grandmas when we went to visit in August! 

 Swimming, swim parties, swimming at BBQ's and sprinkler is what we did this summer!
