Jayden startes his 2nd year of Preschool

Jayden gets to attend our local elementary school this year in the head start program.  I couldn't be more excited, he goes 4 days a week for 4 hours.  They feed him breakfast and lunch!  He just started on wednesday so he only went for 2 days last week but says it's so fun and keeps making sure he gets to go back.  He is so smart and will learn so much this year.  Here he is on his first day of Preschool.

Madyson started preschool at the end of August with a bunch of neighbor kids and she loves it.  She seems like such a big girl but she still has 2 years before kindergarten :(  Here she is on her first day!

The Hogel Zoo

This one is almost 2 months late, but Oh well! My mom came out for a quick little visit the beginning on June and we took the kids to the zoo.  Jayden touched a snake, we check out the new creepy crawly exhibit, and had a great little lunch.  We spent like 4 hours there and the kids of course had a blast.  Payton was hilarious, he LOVED the elephants, and would scream Hi to them and wave all cockeyed.  Thanks mom for taking us all and spending some good grandma time with the kids.

3rd and 4th of July

We had a good 4th of July nothing too special happened.  We got dressed up in our festive outfits (red, white and blue) and just hung around the house on Saturday and then went to the cities fireworks show that night.  It was really good and long.  Then Sunday we headed to church again in red, white and blue, who doesn't like to be all matchy once and awhile. After church we had a BBQ with all of our good friends and we had a great time.  Then on the 5th we went to the Layton city Parade and had a lot of fun there.  The kids had never been to a Parade before so they thought it was so cool, especially the candy that was thrown around.  We didn't take any pictures on the 5th but here are some of the other 2 days!

Payton turned 2!!!

I can't believe my baby turned 2 and I don't have another one.  His birthday was on June 26th, but you know it's summer so who remembers to blog? 

Payton has been such a good baby since he was born.  He is so sweet and the most polite kids you will meet.  He has brought so many smiles to our faces the past 2 years, especially lately with his silly knock-knock jokes.  We love you boogy!

Madyson has never been one to like Payton.  In general she has always stayed clear of him.  Up until very recently she hasn't even acknowledged his name and has called him baby forever and occasionaly still does.  He loves to tackle anyone and just try to play like Jayden and Madyson do but she just runs away.  Well a little while ago they were playing so well together (rare moment), so I wanted to catch it on film (well whatever).  They were giggling so much that I was laughing too.  I love these two!!!

Maybe when Jayden is in school full time they can become good friends like Jayden and Madyson! Here's hoping....

Memorial Day BBQ

As much as I would have loved to have been in Cali (Santa Cruz) with all the peeps and family we couldn't go this year so we made the best of it and spent time with friends instead, which is sometimes better than family! We had 20 kids total there, it was crazy and at times a bit out of control (okay mostly Jayden), but the company and food was so good!  Maybe I will have to start a tradition of my own!
